Nearly 60 Years of Shaping Interior Designers — Now, We’re Coming to You through an Online Open House

For almost six decades, the Philippine School of Interior Design has helped shape the country’s most respected designers — and this August, we’re opening our doors in a new way. On Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 2:00 PM (Philippine Time), PSID is hosting a free online Open House via Zoom, led by IDr. Jie Pambid, VP of Academic Affairs.

This special event brings together industry professionals, educators, and alumni for a three-part journey designed to inspire future interior designers, career shifters, and parents exploring creative paths for their children — a short program, but packed with real insight into the world of interior design and what it truly takes to build a career in it.

What Attendees Can Expect

1.Imagine — Could Your Creativity Become Your Career?

Start with the alumni behind Morfosis, Pai Edles and Misty Floro, who see design as a language of form and emotion. The multidisciplinary duo works across graphic design and interior design, and they're here to dismantle the "just a hobby" myth. Their stories highlight how interior design can evolve from a personal passion into a meaningful profession.

2.Create — A Hands-On Freehand Drawing Workshop

Join a mini freehand drawing session with Professor Clauds Claudio, covering the basics of shading and how to create tone and depth with nothing but a pencil. Download the worksheet, grab a pencil, and follow along in real time — no prior drawing experience needed. This workshop is designed for beginners and aspiring designers who want to experience the creative process firsthand.

3. Transform — Can a Room Tell a Client’s Story?

Cap it off with the story of Oasis Interiors, straight from principals Judith Ochengco and Ais Simbulan. The duo designs homes as personal sanctuaries, turning urban spaces into calm, resort-like retreats through smart space planning and thoughtful layering of textures.

Two firms, two journeys, more proof of what PSID training can do.
